How to Treat – Alone or in Combination

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are soft tissue fillers that are injected into areas of the face to fill out wrinkles and thereby restore a smoother and more youthful appearance. For jawline enhancement, certain types of fillers can contour the jaw and make it more prominent and straight, giving you a more defined and youthful appearing profile. The results will vary according to the patient, aesthetic goals, and the type of dermal filler that is used.

One of the most important benefits of dermal fillers is the immediate result. Fillers are made of hyaluronic acid which is a clear, gooey substance that is naturally produced by your body. Its main function is to retain water to keep your tissues well lubricated and hydrated.

Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT) and skin needling, is a noninvasive procedure that stimulates new collagen production. Using microneedles, tiny punctures induce collagen and elastin production, resulting in more youthful appearing skin. The release of these properties aid in repairing the texture and resiliency of the skin. Microneedling addresses minor skin concerns such as skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, stretch marks, and skin discolorations.

Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been shown to have numerous growth factors that enhance the body's own response in collagen production. PRP therapy involves collecting a patient's own blood and spinning it down into a concentrate of plasma that has a high platelet concentration. This is then injected back into the candidate's skin. Given that the material that is injected into skin is obtained from the patient, the risk of reaction is close to none.
